VOLUNTEERS MAKE A DIFFERENCE
“Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart.”
Does your perspective on life need a reset? You may be thinking, “I haven’t worked with special kids and don’t know what to do.” Believe me when I say, they don’t care. But they will know if you listen to them, are compassionate, and can laugh with them. That’s it. The job includes gentle guidance and a big dose of cheerleading. I promise, you WILL fall in love with these kids and they will change how you see the world.
The kids win, their families win and,
perhaps mostly, you win. Please reach out to Cynthia at 562-689-5939, ex: 701 and set up a visit. You’ll be so glad you did!
We also need volunteers to help with social media, general administration and many other things. What are the skills you’d like to share? We will be happy to customize a position for you. Come be a PLAYMAKER.
ALL PLAYMAKERS STAFF, MANAGERS, COACHES AND VOLUNTEERS ARE REQUIRED TO TAKE A BACKGROUND CHECK PRIOR TO BEING ON THE FIELD OR COMING IN CONTACT WITH ANY PLAYER.
VOLUNTEERS AND "BUDDIES"
Volunteers and "Buddies".
“Buddies” and Playmakers Volunteers will be on the field with the participants at all times.
“Buddies” will consist of players from the local youth baseball league from the ages of 9 and up.
All others will be considered “Volunteers” and will need to first register with our program, complete a background check along with the "How We Play" clinic.
Players may require the assistance of a volunteer or “Buddies” to run the bases or assist in "hand-over-hand" swinging of the bat.
